Budget Meeting Nov. 2, 1956 9 A.M.
A Budget Meeting was called for Friday Nov. 2 at 9 A.M. at the Library. The Finance
Committee, Mrs. Conrad, Mr. Brown and Mr. Cagan were present. Mr. Birmingham was absent.
The salary and maintenance amounts were set to be voted on at the next regular meeting of
the Board. Salaries - 49,457.62 Maintenance 16,000. Other outlays Lighting stacks 1000. Bookcases
Adult and Children's Room 1000 Furniture tables and chairs 1000. Card Cabinet Children Room 300.
Flooring third floor 1000.
Fence Beverly Farms 300. New roof Main Library 10,000. Other outlays 14,600. It was
agreed that the Budget Committee should meet with the Mayor and explain why this budget was
needed.
