Budget Meeting November 10, 1959
A Budget Meeting was held at the Library. Nov. 10 at 4 P.M. In attendance were Mrs.
Conrad, Mr. Toomey and Mr. Cagan. Mr. Brown was absent.
After study of all phases of the Budget, the salary amount was set to go along with the
Barrington Survey, including a necessary new position of desk assistant, the 1960 total would be
$64,506. This amount includes salary increases as of July 1, 1960 per Barrington Survey.
The Maintenance amount was set at $21,600. More money was definitely needed for
lighting due m extra business, more for telephone and more for office supplies because of
increased rates, supplies needed for bookmobile as well as other departments
Other outlays were considered: Farms windows and door repairs, $1500; Necessary new
charging desk, $3000; and charging machine and supplies. $750. Grand total $91,356
