A Budget Meeting was called for November 3, 1953 at 9:00 A.M. Mr. Rowe, Brown,
Birmingham, Cagan were present.-Finance Committee.
A long discussion was held as to the Librarian being put under ordinance. Decided to let the
matter rest for the present.
The Salary and Maintenance amounts were set to be voted on at the regular meeting of
November 19.
Because of a letter received Oct. 31, 1953 from Henry L. Wolfers Inc. refusing to take back
the fixtures that we cannot use, and because of length of time we have had the fixtures, they stated
that if full payment was not made by Nov. 10, 1953 they propose to take legal proceedings. It was
decide that Mr. Birmingham should contact Mr. Henry Wolfers, to see if they would agree to change
these fixtures for more modern ones.

Mr. Birmingham did meet Mr. Wolfers and an agreement was made to replace these fixtures
with modern up to date fixtures - Sylvania Flourescent Trimline series at a small increase in cost. This
exchange was made on November 17. A letter from Mr. Birmingham is on file explaining the
transaction he made with Mr. Wolfers. The total of amount of Sylvania and Lightolier fixtures are
$1287,24 and $252. These amounts do not include tubes.
