Also present: Esther Calish, Nancy Abeman; Elsa Forter, League of Women Voters; Jill Backstrom,
Mrs. W. W. Hemenway, Friends of the Library; Brion O'Connor, Beverly Times.
Mrs. Calish noted that the city auditor will no longer accept unsigned bill schedules. They request that
the schedules be signed at the library by three members of the Finance Committee before being sent
to City Hall on the 5th of each month.
The committee discussed the letter received from Mr. Richard Kelley regarding the question of the
library's usage of postage. Mr. Morency suggested that our new fine schedule may compensate for
postage costs. Mr. BuckIcy reported that at the Administration Committee meeting, it was voted to
invite Mr. Kelley to sit in at the next Board meeting. A motion was made by Mr. Morency to request
that Mr. Kelley be invited to appear at the next regular meeting of the Board to discuss the matter.
Mrs. Dooling seconded; the motion passed.
Mr. Buckley moved to adjoum. Mr. Ayers seconded. Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at
4:20 p.m.
