Present: Nancy Bender, Edward Brindle, Diane Costo, Margaret DeSantis, Margaret Goodwin,
George Heller, Nell Olson.

Committee reports:
Personnel: No report.
Administration No report.
Finance: No report.
Long range planning: 1 ) George Heller and Diane Costa reported on their attendance at an art auction
fund raiser. Margaret Goodwin will contact Chamber of Commerce to find out when its auction is
held. Perhaps we could also have a silent auction with Will Barnet prints. George Heller will contact
Max Rubenstein. Tentative date for our art auction: April 9, 1994. Depending upon date of dedication
ceremony in the Spring, we will decide definite date of auction at next meeting. 2) Black Tie Fund
raiser: Discussion of when to hold this. Larry Smith recommends not in December -- not enough
preparation, time. Perhaps Black Tie event could be part of grand opening ceremony in the Spring.
3) It was agreed to first complete the nave and then investigate applying for grants. 4) Discussion of
city-wide mailing for pledges/giRs. Who will keep track of pledges? What structure should be in
place? Cost of mailing/printing?
Report of Library Director: Discussion of proposed move of Momserrat Library to Beverly Public
Library.
Unfinished business: Discussion of letter from city hall reiterating how trust funds should be
dispensed. Trustees need to respond to letter. Ed Brindle will discuss with Tom.
The next meeting will be Monday, November 22, 1993, at 7:00 PM at the Main Library.
