In order to level fund the budget part time staff hours had to be reduced. This was accomplished by extending the summer hours from Memorial Day weekend to September 30 (Library dosed Saturday and Sunday) and closing the Children's Room at 5:00 PM every day. Toby Shindler moved acceptance of the budget seconded by Kay Fanning. Motion passed. The Director then reported that the Library had received a letter from the Board of Library Commissioners approving our state aid for this year. This may be the last year we will be getting state aid for a while since we are not spending enough for library materials this year. The meeting adjourned at 7:30 and the members then attend the Board of Alderman's meeting for the final vote on the Library Expansion project. SheHa Glowacki - Recorder
