Present: Nancy Bender, Edward Brindle, Diane Costa, Kay Fanning, Neil Olson, Susan Salt, Helga
Senko, Toby Shindler.
Also present: Thomas Scully, Sheila Glowaeki. Nancy Tripp, League of Women Voters.
Nancy Bender presided.
Disposition of the minutes of the previous meeting: Susan Salt moved that the minutes of previous
meeting be accepted. Motion passed.
Committee reports: Personnel: No report.
Administration: No report.
Finance: No report.
Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Librarian: 1) Circulation statistics were distributed showing an increase in all areas
especially the bookmobile and the Farms. 2) We will no longer provide information about individuals
over the telephone. 3) A letter was dra!~ed to the Board of Aldermen and the Mayor stating that even
though the 2 million dollar grant from the state has been delayed the project is not "dead." Toby
Shindler moved that the Trustees authorize and sign the letter. Motion passed. Neil Olson stated that
he will go to the Board of Aldermen after the election and request the funds to complete the
architects plans so that we will have working drawings.
