Henrichon, Frances J. McCarthy, Kevin J. Murphy, Neil B. Olson, Susan M. Salt, Nathan T. Shindler, and Nancy A. White Board members absent: Katherine L. Fanning Others present: Vada Komich, League of Women Voters Recorder: Sheila Glowacki Regular Meeting Board of Trustees -- Beverly Public Library February 10, 1986 7:30 PM Present: Kathleen Henrichon, Frances McCarthy, Kevin Murphy, Neil Olson, Susan Salt, Toby Shindiet, Nancy White Also Present: Sheila Glowacki; Robert Hardy - Beverly Times; Vada Komich League of Women Voters Kathleen Henrichon presided. Disposition of the minutes of the previous meeting: Public presentation to, discussion with the Board: Committee reports: Personnel: The Committee met on January 27. The Aldermen approved the request to fill the position of Director. Ads have been placed in the library journals. Administration: The police will begin to include the library in their regular rounds. They will come in and make a tour of the building. Finance: Copies of the 86/87 Budget were distributed and discussed. The grand-total for all departments is $529,030.79 which is $358.15 less than last year. Neil Olson moved to accept the 86/87 Budget as presented by the Finance Committee. Motion passed. Long Range Planning: The arehitect's contract is in the hands of the Assistant City Solicitor. Librarian's Report: There will be a reception for the Trustees and Staff at 6:00 P.M. before the next Board meeting on March 24. Communications: A letter was received from Mrs. Minigan concerning overnight parldng. Unfinished business: Overnight parking was discussed. Neil Olson moved that the Board grant up to 6 overnight parking permits to persons who demonstrate a need and history of using the lot. It will be limited to one per family on a first come, first serve basis, and cars must be om of the lot by 8:00 A.M. Motion passed. New Business: Public presentation to and discussion with the Board: The next meeting will be March 24 at 7:00 P.M. with a reception with the Staff at 6:00 P.M. The meeting adjourned at 8:40 P.M..
