Joseph Callahan, Jr., and Angelo R. Massa Board members absent: Others present: Thomas H. Scanlan, Director of Public Health, Richard Montoni, Code Enforcement Officer, Leo Panunzio, Milk and Food Inspector, Robert Russo, Plumbing Inspector, and Joseph W. Walsh, Jr., Sanitarian Recorder: Joseph W. Walsh, Jr. BOARD OF HEALTH - MONTHLY MEETING - January 6, 1969 Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. Members present were: Dr. Fine, Angelo R. Massa and A. J. Callahan, Jr. Also attending were Thomas Scanlan, Leo Panunzio, Robert Russo, Joseph W. Walsh, Jr. and Richard Montoni. Dr. Fine was unanimously elected by the Board as the Chairman for 1969. OLD BUSINESS Incinerators The Board heard a report that there was no further burning reported at incinerators at Purity and Marshall's. The Board re-affirmed their position not to let the burning start again. Code Enforcement Officer The Board of Health directed the Civil Service exam for Code Enforcement Officer be changed from one to two as required by HUD. Temporary Clerk Cecile Thomas was hired to be a clerk in the Board of Health, on provisional appointment, pending a list from Civil Service. 16 Bennett Street Robert Russo reported to the Board that a new roof is being put on 16 Bennett Street. The Board accepted this report as informative. NEW BUSINESS Field Internship Jane Nolette petitioned the Board for employment during April 8 to May for a period of six weeks to aid herself in school. This would be a field internship position with no salary involved. Ms. Nolette's request was granted by the Board. School Tuition The Board read a letter from Leo Panunzio regarding school tuition. The Board voted that monies be added to this year's budget and appropriated on a yearly basis. Office Equipment The Board discussed the subject of office equipment.
