Thursday, June 19, 1969 4 P.M.
The regular meeting was held at the Library on the above date. Present were Mrs. Conrad, presiding,
Mr. Toomey, Mrs. Risley, Mrs. Isenberg, Dr. Murray, Mr. Lovett and Mr. Ricci.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
For administration:
Estimates of work to be done on the walls and ceiling of the Youth Room were studied.
Estimates were received from Battista Clemenzi Plastering Co., C. S. Robb Co., and Trussell
Construction Co.
Mr. Toomey has copies of the estimates. He will consult with the Mayor and request funds
be appropriated for this work and the door at the Farms Branch.
The financial sheet was presented. Attention was drawn to the fact that student help would be used
this summer to fill vacations, to mend, weed and work on replacements. Much of this routine work
must be done in the summer months.
Mrs. Cook will retum July 21.
VOTED: Mrs. White is to return to the Beverly Farms Branch on July 21.
(Dr. Murray moved, Mr. Ricci seconded. Vote: 4 in favor and 3 abstentions).
VOTED: To grant Mrs. Penta seven weeks' leave of absence.
It was reported that a new Master Plan is under way. The Board briefly renewed the former plan of
Adams, Howard & Greeley.
Communication was received from Mrs. Lois Merola seeking employment. She holds an MLS degree
and will be locating in this area in the Fall.
Mr. Ricci had met with Mr. Sondrol. Discussion was brief and the opinion of those present was to
take no action at this time.
Meeting adjourned at 5:45 P.M.
Mrs. White was called before the Board to state her case for Farms Branch. She was questioned by
Mr. Toomey, Mrs. Risley, Mrs. Isenberg and Mr. Lovett as to her health, qualifications, ability and
interest.
