Thursday, May 22, 1969 4 PM.
The regular meeting was held at the Library on the above date. Present were Mrs. Conrad, presiding,
Mr. Toomey, Mr. Maeser, Mrs. Risley, Mrs. Isenberg, Dr. Murray, Mr. Lovett and Mr. Ricci.
The minutes were read and approved.
For Administration:
Walls are still pending.
Mr. Abate will estimate necessary work on marble at the front entrance after the May
holidays.
The reports of the Librarian and the department heads were read and placed on file. Circulation graph
and financial sheets were presented.
It was called to the attention of the Board that the budget again is short of the necessary money for
State Aid. Comparison of figures for 1968 and 1969 were shown. The total budget is above that of
1968 and monies for books and periodicals did not go up in proportion.
Communications:
From Mr. Campanelli who is interested in doing plaster work.
From several Farms residents concerning the Farms Library.
From Mrs. White concerning her status.
VOTED that Mrs. White meet with the Board at the next meeting. (Mr. Toomey, Mr. Maeser).
Mr. Rieci presented material sent to him from Melrose and a study will be made concerning library
fines.
Meeting adjourned at 5:10 P.M.
