October 18, 1968 4 P .M.
The regular meeting was held at the Library on the above date. Present: Mrs. Conrad, presiding, Miss
Standley, Mr. Maeser, Mr. Lovett, Mr. Ricei, Mrs. PalsIcy, Mrs. Isenberg and Mr. Toomey.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Financial sheets were presented.
Maeser reported for the Budget Committee. His report was approved with final acceptance to be
made at the November meeting when further consideration can be made of the furniture item.
Librarian's and Head of Departments' reports were read and placed on file.
Trust Funds were discussed and Mrs. Isenberg is making a further study.
VOTED: That Mrs. Conrad be Chairman of Board.
That Mrs. Risley be Secretary of Board.
That Mrs. Gibbs be appointed Acting Assistant Librarian.
That Mrs. Scully be appointed Acting Cataloger.
The above appointments to take place immediately.
It was decided that Mr. Frost be notified how greatly the Board appreciated his gif~ of a large music
collection, but the Library just does not have the room available for such an extensive collection until
such time as a Children's building is added.
It was requested that costs of furniture be submitted, with additional copies available, in the hope that
civic organizations might help with the project for the Children's Room.
The meeting adjourned at 5:30 P.M.
