Present: Mrs. Conrad, presiding; Mr. Ayers, Mr. Bronstein, Mr. Macset, Mr. Larivee; Miss StandIcy;
Mr. Tappan and Mrs. Vitale.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Committee Reports:
Finance - Librarian reported on the status of various accounts Circulation
Farms ~ Mr. Maeser reported problem in cellar window-wells
Bookmobile - Discussion of expenditures to exhaust balance in that account

Old business:
-Consideration of Goals/Objectives was deferred until a summer meeting to be called by
Mrs. Conrad.
VOTED: Due to the success of Sunday opening, we will resume the Sunday opening in the
fall.
VOTED: To instruct L. Rossi, Inc.; (1) to lower back entrance drains $200; (2) Repair front
entrance brickwork - $425 [in addition to work at Farms Branch - $345] for a total
of $970.
-Friends of the Library organization proceeding smoothly. General organizational meeting to
be held this evening (6/20/74).
New business:
-PWD replacing sections of sidewalk in front of the main library.
-Olive White, Farms branch librarian hospitalized. Will probably be out for 2-4 weeks.
-Library is represented in the Beverly Bazaar with a book cart of free books, brochures,
registration, etc.
-Decision to request Mayor and Aldermen to use Revenue Sharing Funds for purchase of new
bookmobile, after a discussion ofbookmobile costs.
-Mrs. Conrad spoke of M.L.T.A. All present agreed to join.
-Librarian thanked the Board of Trustees for their patience and help.
