Joseph Callahan, Jr., and Angelo R. Massa Board members absent: Others present: Thomas H. Scanlan, Director of Public Health, Richard Montoni, Code Enforcement Officer, Leo Panunzio, Milk and Food Inspector, Robert Russo, Plumbing Inspector, and Joseph W. Walsh, Jr., Sanitarian Recorder: Joseph W. Walsh, Jr. BOARD OF HEALTH - MONTHLY MEETING - November 4, 1968 Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. Members present were Dr. J. H. Fine, Chairman; Angelo R. Massa and A. J. Callahan, Jr. Also attending were all the inspectors. OLD BUSINESS Housing Mr. Montoni spoke to the Board about the following properties: 16 Bennett Street, 33 Home Street, 401 Cabot Street, Marsh Avenue. Mr. Montoni also discussed with the Board placarding procedures, condemnation of property, and many other matters relating to the housing program in Beverly. Standley Street Dump The Board tabled any discussion on this matter until the December meeting. NEW BUSINESS New Clerk It was reported to the Board that two names were received from Civil Service for the new clerk's position, however, neither one appeared to apply for the job. Two women who are not on the Civil Service list did apply for the job and their names were presented to the Board of Health by Mr. Scanlan. Both women are interested in this job, however, on a motion made and seconded the Board voted unanimously to hold up any appointment until the office space problem is corrected. In addition, the Board voted to send a letter to the Finance and Property Committee regarding the inter-office space problem. Preventive Medicine Scanlan reported to the Board about the following programs: Flu shots, audio testing, tine testing, etc. and brought the Board up to date on the nurses' program.
