The regular meeting was held at the Library on the above date. Present were Mrs. Conrad,
presiding, Dr. Murray, Mr. Maeser, Miss Standley, Mr. Lovett, Mrs. Risley, Mrs. Isenberg and Mr.
Tappan
Minutes of the last meeting read and approved.
Financial sheets were presented.
Reports of head of the Departments read.
Administration:
Eastern Sales & Service, lowest bidders, to install air conditioning in Young Adults and
Reference Rooms.
Alarm system order awarded to Sonaguard. & Co.
Carpet for Children's Room to be ordered from F. Schumacher & Co.ofBoston.
Invitation to bid to be published for lights for Children's Room and for card catalog.
VOTED: To accept recommendation of Personnel Committee with the provision that the
position of Head of Circulation be reviewed in September.
VOTED: To accept Mrs. Bancroft to permanent status as Young Adults Librarian.
VOTED: That one-hour parking meters be placed In three lanes of parking lot with fourth
lane reserved for Library personnel.
Correspondence:
Mr. Bengston again stated he was interested in use of Farms Branch hall for lectures and
would send dates when plans were more definite.
Trustees were invited to appear in the Aldermen's chamber for hearing conceming parking
meters in the parking lot on June 19 at 7:45 P.M.
