Thursday, March 25, 1971 4 P.M.
The regular meeting was held at the Library on the above date. Present were Mrs. Conrad, presiding,
Dr. Murray, Mr. Cole, Miss Standley, Mr. Lovett, and Mr. Rieei.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Administration:
Dr. Murray reported no action on bill S447.
Repairs to main reading room completed.
Police tagging cars more frequently.
Mrs. Conrad will look further into repairing loose panels in Faxms doors, and will also contact
the Farms Improvement Society and Garden Club about planting.
VOTED: To have Dodge Associates remove tree.
Financial sheet presented. The Library budget will be $6.00 per capita. (1960 Federal Census)
Reports of Department heads read.
Consideration of a policy statement for reference telephone questions was tabled.
Mrs. Marcia Paiumbo will do a puppet show for program at the main library.
Old Business:
Mr. Shaffer's report completed and copies available to all Trustees.
New Business:
VOTED: In co-operation with the School Department a No-Fine-Week to be held. in the near
future.
VOTED: The use of fellow room, in response to request of Dean Co., for the purpose of
investment education.
Mrs. Conrad will assess need for pointing up cement steps at Farms.
The Board organized.
VOTED: Mrs. Conrad, President Mrs. Risley, Secretary
Observing at the meeting were Mrs. Mayo Johnson and Mrs. Alvan Schwartz, represematives of the
League of Women Voters.
