Thursday June 16, 1966 4 p.m.
The meeting of the Trustees was held at the L~rary on the above date. In attendance were Miss
StandIcy, Mr. Pierce, Dr. Murray, Mr. Maeser, Mr. Tooracy and Mr. Hyde.
The records of the previous meeting were accepted as read. The Finance sheets were studied and
placed on file.
VOTED to purchase for Reference Room 3 volumes of 1964 Moody's at $3.50 per volume.
For Administration, Mr. Toomey reported that the iron work will be done soon, by the City men.
Also, the from steps and brick work will be pointed and bricks replaced, work to be done by Patti.
He will attend to the necessary repairs to the toilet at the Farms Branch.
Discussion was held as to the loss of books from the Reference Room. One solution suggested is to
interview the teachers in the fall and try to work this problem out together.
The circulation sheets and reports of department heads were approved as read and placed on file.
The bookmobile position was presented. There were 4 applications--only one had some library
experience, the others had no experience whatever. Mr. Toomey suggested Mr. Sidney Altshuler as
he felt a man should drive the large vehicle. After discussion it was VOTED to appoint Mr. Altshuler
on the hasis of a 6 months probation period and than decide as to taking him on as a permanent staff
member.
VOTED to grant Mrs. Eva Patch a 2 months leave of absence without pay. She is very tired and not
too well. Decided to give her 3 weeks vacation with pay.
