Thursday April 8, 1965 4 P. M.
The meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on the above date. In attendance were
Mrs. Conrad presiding, Miss Standley Mrs. Bryant, Mr. Pierce, Mr. Hyde, Mr. Macset and Mr.
Toomey.
The records were approved and all action taken at the two precious meetings were confirmed.
Because of less money in the budget for pages it was VOTED to continue with summer pages as
presented: 30 hours for four and 20 hours for others. In the fall, if necessary, make arrangement to
transfer or seek additional money.
For administration, Mr. Toomey stated he would attend to signs for the entrance and exit. to the
parking lot and request it to be cleaned.
All reports were read and accepted.
The new Civil Service law Providing that certain professional librarians and pages shall be exempt
from the Civil Service law. This law was explained in detail by Miss StandIcy. VOTED. to add to the
By-laws the following: Section 2: The Board of Trustees may elect the persons in the above positions
to tenure after 3 years of satisfactory service, with the exception of custodians.
The next Trustees' meeting will be held May 20th.
