THURSDAY, MAY 2 1, 1964 4 P. M.
The regular meeting of the Trustees was held at the L~orary on the above date. In attendance were
Mrs. Conrad, presiding and all of the Trustees except Mr. BrowrL
The records of the previous meeting were approved as read. The finance sheets were studied and
placed on file.
For administration Mrs. Conrad reported that action has began on the Farms front door and she will
contact Tressell again. Mr. Toomey reported that the lights on the upper floor are being installed by
the City Electrician and work is moving along. Bids for water proofing the Farms are in process, to
be opened May 29. (All bids were rejected--much too high) Mr. Tooracy explained fully as to the new
bookmobile--bids are to be opened May 28 at 1 o'clock. VOTED to request permission from the
Mayor and Aldermen to trade in the present bookmobile toward proposed new unit. The new
bookmobile is to remain here until June 15, per agreement with McGraw-Hill. A $35 estimate for
motor tanning and adjuslxnents was given by a local mechanic who inspected the new unit. The roof
of this unit does need some putty work and also a new spare tire is necessary. VOTED that when a
differera bookmobile is purchased that the Librarian be authorized to ttse the manufacturer's agency
for repairs, etc.
VOTED that the Sex. Mrs. Bryant place a letter of thanks on the bt~letin board in Y.A.R. for the
work done by high school boys in moving the magazines.
VOTED June 1 begin the 8 o'clock closing, after Harbor Day 8:30.
VOTED Use Bette Allen, a B.H.S. graduate, part time with the idea of filling Mrs. Tate's position
in Sept.
Discussion of By-Laws to be taken up at the June meeting.
Mrs. Conrad discussed the Minn. Public Library after her visit there.
