The meeting was called to order by the President who announced the election of E. L.
Giddings for five years and of E C. Adams for four years. The Board then proceeded to ballot for
officers for the year ensuing; resulting in the election of Mr. W. C. Boyden for President; Franklin
Leach, Secretary; J. D. Tuck, Treasurer. Messrs Giddings, Adams & Leach committee on the
purchase of books and Messrs. Tuck, Boyden & Leach committee on rooms.
Miss M. P. Smith was chosen Librarian with a salary of Two Hundred and Twenty Five dollars per
year.
A draR for Five Hundred Dollars was drawn on the selectmen.
Cassels Magazine (art) was added to the list.
On motion of Mr. Tuck thanks were voted to the Shaker Fraternity for the present of their magazine
called the "Manifesto."
The meeting was then dissolved.
