Mr. Cagan reported as to the change of the state aid grant. A letter from the Board of Library Commissioners explained that because of the one million dollar limitation it was necessary to recompute the state aid grants for all those communities filing an intention for applying. Hence instead of the 25¢ per capita provided, 21¢ per capita was the recon-qauted amount. For this reason the estimate for Beverly which showed $9,027, the final figure was only $7582. As yet no limitation has been placed against the income tax revenue for payment in 1962. It is hoped that 25¢ per capita will be authorized.
