The meeting was called to order at the usual hour by the President, who announced the
election ofRev. W. H. Davis for five years.
The ballot for officers resulted as follows,
Mr. Wm. C. Boyden was chosen President.
Franklin Leach was chosen Secretary
J. D. Tuck was chosen Treasurer
Messrs. W. H. Davis, E. L. Giddings & F. Leach committee on purchasing Books.
Messrs. Tuck, Boyden & Leach committee on rooms.
Miss M. P. Smith was elected Librarian with a salary of Two Hundred Twenty Five dollars per year.
A draft was made on the Selectmen for Five Hundred dollars it being one half of the yearly
appropriation.
The question of purchasing magazines for general circulation was discussed very freely and
finally the whole matter was postponed to the next meeting and on motion of Mr. Giddings it was
voted that no alterations should be made in the Magazine list until further action by the board.
