The Board were called together this evening for the purpose of organization and proceeded
to ballot for the following officers
Mr. Wm. C. Boyden was chosen President
Mr. Franklin Leach was chosen Secretary
Mr. J. D. Tuck was chosen Treasurer
Messrs. Lanphear, Giddings & Leach committee on purchase of books.
Messrs. Tuck, Boyden & Leach committee on rooms.
Miss Lizzie Baker was chosen Librarian at a salary of Two Hundred Dollars per annum.
It was also voted to leave the hiring of assistants to the Librarian to the committee on Rooms. A
Draft for Five Hundred Dollars of the Town appropriation was drawn upon the Selectmen. Mr.
Boyden announced to the Board the reelection of Mr. Franklin Leach for five years.
No other business presenting the Board adjourned to June 7th.
