The President announced to the Board the reelection of Mr. E. L. Giddings for five years.
The board was then organized by the election of Mr. W. C. Boyden as President,
Franklin Leach, Secretary,
J. D. Tuck aS Treasurer
Messrs. Lanphear, Giddings & Leach Committee on purchasing Books.
Messrs. G-iddings, Boyden & Leach, Prudential Committee.
Mr. J. D. Tuck was chosen Librarian. It was voted to omit in Article 3d of the Instructions to the
Librarian the words "its condition, its cost if purchased."
On motion of Mr. Giddings, Messrs. Tuck & Leach were appointed a committee to engage a female
Librarian.
A Draft was drawn on the Selectmen, payable to the order of the Treasurer, for one thousand dollars
being the amt. of the Town's appropriation to the Library for 1875.
The new Catalogue was reported as printed and in the hands of the binder.
No other business arising the board adjourned to Tuesday June 1st.
