The President not being present at the commencement of the meeting,
On motion of Mr. Dodge, Mr. Tuck was appointed Chairman.
Mr. Haddock came in shortly after & assumed the direction of the meeting.
A verbal report was presented with reference to the appointment of Librarian. The Committee
were not however fully prepared to recommend an appointment at present.
On motion of Mr. Peirce,
It was resolved that the Salary of the Librarian for the present year be fixed at one hundred fifty
dollars.
On motion of Mr. Peirce Resolved To postpone the election of Librarian to a future meeting.
On motion of Mr. Leach Resolved That we procure the services of Mr. Frederic Leach to
perform the duties of Librarian until that Officer is regularly appointed and that the Prudential
Committee inform Mr. Leach of this action of the Trustees.
