Saturday Evening May 31st 1856
A meeting of the board was held in the Library Room. Present Messrs. Endicott, Haddock
& Peirce.
Mr. Haddock was appointed chairman.
Mr. Peirce presented his report with a reference to the completion of the book plates which
On motion of Mr. Endicott was accepted.
On motion of Mr. Peirce the record of the meeting of March 29th was amended by the addition of the
following resolution,
Resolved that the zeal and activity manifested by Mr. Galloupe as a member of this Board has
contributed largely to the success which has thus far been attained.
Mr. Haddock presented from Mr. C. Davis, the Librarian, a verbal resignation of his office.
No action was formally taken upon this matter. It was suggested that a written resignation had better
be handed in at a subsequent meeting.
Resolved To adjourn to meet next Saturday evening at 8 o'clock.
