Saturday Evening April 12st.
A meeting of the Board was held at the Library Room all the members being present.
On motion of Mr. Endicott
It was resolved that a committee be appointed to procure a suitable device and motto for a book plate
and to have the same engraved and 5000 five thousand impressions taken for immediate use. On motion of Mr. Haddock
It was resolved that Mr. Peirce be that committee and that the whole matter be left to him he
in general following out the ideas presented by him to the Board this evening.
On motion of Mr. Endicott
It was resolved to proceed immediately to the choice of a Trustee for the current year to fill the
vacancy occasioned by the resignation of C. W. Galloupe.
The Board then made choice by ballot of Mr. William Thorndike.
