LIBRARY DIRECTOR' S REPORT
February 1999
Farms - Farms Fund raising brochure is at the primers. As soon as that is finished we will be begin
calling on potential major donors.
Flooding - I have reviewed plans for the pump to be installed on the Dane Street side of the building
and the engineers are preparing the bid documents. Pump should be installed by late spring. The
flood repairs to the main library continue. Rusted radiator covers in the Fogg Room, Bamet Room,
Foyer, and Kitchen are out being repainted. Custodians have repainted radiators in Program Room.
New floors and carpeting have been installed in Bamet Room and Bookmobile Office. New rug will
be laid in Friends' Office.
Reading Room - Club chairs have been relocated from the stacks to the main reading room because
of teenagers congregating there in the afternoons and creating vandalism problems.
