1915-24-04 City of Beverly, Massachusetts Public Meeting Minutes Board: Library Trustees Subcommittee: Date: 04/24/1915 Place: Beverly Public Library Board members present: William R. Driver, Louis H. Baker, Rev. Benjamin R. Bulkeley, Joseph C. Kilham, Katharine P. Loring, Elizabeth P. Sohier, Louis D. Webber, Board members absent: Charles L. Dodge, and George E. Woodberry Others present: Recorder: Louis H. Baker A meeting of the Trustees of the Beverly Public Library was duly held at the Library on Saturday the 24th day of April, 1915, at 3:30 o'clock pm. There were present of the Trustees Miss Loring, Miss Sohier, Messrs. Driver, Bulkeley, Kilham, Webber and Baker. The records of the last meeting were read and approved. The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 68 titles, including 21 volumes in Italian and reported the gift of one volume; whereupon on motion it was Voted: That the recommendation of the Committee on Circulation with respect of 68 volumes be adopted, and that the thanks of the Trustees be extended for the gift. It appearing that with the coming of Spring weather the attendance on Sunday afternoons had fallen off materially, it was on motion of Mr. Webber, Voted: That, beginning May 1 st, the Library be closed on Sunday, until the further action of this Board.
