The board met as per adjournment.
Messrs. Tuck, Woodberry, Giddings, and Dodge present.
The meeting was called to order by the chairman. The records of the previous meeting were
read and approved.
On motion of Mr. Giddings, it was
Voted that a letter from the Essex Institute referring to certain magazines to complete sets be referred
to the chairman.
On motion of Mr. Giddings, it was
Voted That the subject of employing an assistant librarian be left with Messrs. Tuck and Woodberry
to be reported upon at the next meeting.
On motion of Mr. Woodberry, it was
Voted That works published and sold by subscription shall only be purchased by a vote of the board
of two trustees
On motion of Mr. Giddings, it was
Voted that we adjourn to meet Saturday Evg. July 23d at 8 o'clock, and that the Seey. notify those
absent.
