Meeting Minutes: January 19, 1999
Present: Mr. Ward, Wood, and Seamans, and Ms Cotreau
Approve minutes of Previous meeting: Moved by Mr. Wood, second Ms Cotreau, Voted

Review of events since last meeting:
Application by Mary MacCarthy for recognition as representative of Lot 329 Plan 6 in
the Beverly Farms Cemetery was approved by acclimation.
Proposal by Robert Boutin for Eagle Scout Project at North Beverly Cemetery. A
discussion of this worthy project to raise Veteran' s markers followed. No action required.
Possible parcels from Morain Farm for cemetery expansion. A general discussion of the
four parcels possibly avaiable to the City for cemetery expansion. These would be limited
to use of flush marker memorials. Mr. Ward observed that the present market favors use
of upright memorials. Still, any land for cemetery expansion must be considered
regardless of restriction placed by the seller.
Program of activity for Fiscal Year 2000: The discussion evolved into a request for an
accounting of fund balances for "Sale of Lots" and "Endowment". John Dunn to provide
at next meeting.
