Saturday Evening April 1st 1893
The committee to whom was referred the 22d article as previously mentioned held a formal meeting.
Messrs. Tuck, Woodberry, Butler, Dodge and Leach of the trustees and Messrs. Connolly, Brooks
and Hoyt from Beverly Farms being present. The committee organized by the choice ofRev. E. P.
Hoyt as chairman and Charles L. Dodge as secretary. The article was then read and discussed. Mr.
Woodberry gave his views which were every clear and met with general approval. The Secy. then
read a proposition in form of report which was thought would meet their wants and would be fair for
the town and the sum of $400.00 was considered a sufficient sum. This was objected to by Mr.
Woodberry not on the ground of refusing to comply with the wishes but because he saw a way by
which it might be done within our regular appropriation thereby avoiding calling upon the town for
any additional sum. This was fairly and pleasantly discussed the representatives from the Fanns
stating all they wished was what had already been presented in the way of facilities. Mr. Woodberry
and Dodge then prepared a report to which everyone signed his name. This report to be held Monday
April 3d 1893.
