Meeting Minutes: May 7
Present: Messers Ward, Wood, and Seamans and Mss Cotreau
1. Approve minutes of previous meeting: Moved by Mr. Wood, Second by Mr. Ward Voted unaniraously
Review of events since last meeting:
a. introduction of new rates has met with little resistance
b. Paving and tree work is complete
c. Cleanout of Lothrop and Bisson Street comer has had to be delayed because the cost is far
greater than anticipated-in excess of $10,000
6. Ryan Fortin's Eagle Scout Project Status: May 9
7. Mr. Ward introduced a measure to vote a determination of the city' s "vault" requirement: Voted: That
true vaults as defined by the Federal Trade Commission by required as Outer Burial Containers for
full earth burials in the City of Beverly Centtory System.
8. Tour of North Beverly and Beverly Farms Cemeteries
9. Old Business: a. Acquisition of benches for Beverly Farms and North Beverly Cemeteries.
b. Placement of trash receptacles in the cemeteries
c. PBS directed to review city practice and policy relative to burial of indigents,
Specifically relative to payment of opening fees and liner costs.
