The regular meeting of the Trustees was held at the Library, Thurs. Mar. 19 at 7:30 P.M.
Those in attendance were Mrs. Conrad presiding, Mrs. Cook, Miss Standley, Mr. Brown and Mr.
Cagan.
The records were approved as read and the firmnee sheets studied. The 1959 Budget was
returned from the City and is the same as 1958 except that only $100 was allowed for Furniture. The
salary increase from the Barrington plan has not been appropriated as yet so does not show on the.
budget.
The Volkswagen was discussed at length but as Mr. Tooracy was absent the matter was held
over for the next meeting.
The tentative program for National Library Week was presented and all agreed it was an
excellent program.
It was VOTED to discontinue service at the R.S. Branch as of April 3. as Mr. Cilly's lease
expires.
The report of the Circulation Committee and of the Librarian were accepted and placed on
file. Meeting adjourned at 8:45.
It was reconvened after some Members left so that those present: Mr. Cogan, Pierce, Mrs.
Cook and Mrs. Conrad voted that as National Library Week would he during the week ofthe regular
meeting, the April Meeting would be held the 4th Thursday--April 23.

Circulation at Ryal Side has shown a loss. The location has not proven satisfactory and no better
location is available. ALso, more people come to the Main Library more.
