Meeting Minutes: May 14, 1997
Presem: E. Wood, L. Ward, Chair, and P. Seamans, Clerk
1. Approval of meeting minutes of previous two meeting. Motion to accept by E. Wood. Voted
unanimously.
2. Guy Rossi presented an application for a Municipal Incentive Grant for the mapping of the city's
cemeteries. Materials were accepted for review by the Board of Cemetery Managers with thanks to Mr.
Rossi for his work to discover the availability of grant money and delivery of material in his care.
3. Mr. Ward raised his continuing concem over the lack of trash receptacles in the cemeteries. It was
pointed out that receptacles without regular scheduled emptying might be worse and that a schedule was
being addressed with Public Services.
4. Discussion followed about cremation lots: The sale of cremation lots in increments of two as six grave
lots might leave wasted space, limitation to flush markers in cremation lot areas and allowing one 12 inch
by 24 inch marker per two-grave lot.
5. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:20.
