in attendance.
The records of the last meeting were approved as read as was the report of the Finance
Committee ~iving a summary of expenditures. It was decided that more money was needed for Janitor

registering also $1000 additional was needed for pages to help do this work and also needed for
summer activities.
Mr. Boyden brought in plans and specifications for a complete roof job, the probable cost
would be in vicinity of $15,000. He suggested that it would be wise to employ a professional
estimator to check on the cost. It was voted to authorize Mr. Boyden to attend to this matter and any
charge to be taken from Trust Funds.
Mrs. Conrad appointed Mr. Boyden, Mr. Toomey and Mrs. Cook to approach the Mayor with
plans and specifications as soon as the estimator is obtained and than request the money for this
purpose as well as for an additional $2500 to increase Maintenance Items and for page money.
Mr. Toomey extended sincere thanks and praise to Mr. Boyden for an excellent piece of work
and offered to have more copies made. He also agreed to make a date to meet with the Mayor very
soon.
ARer studying the specifications for Re-roofing and General repairs it was voted to make
changes in 1-05 (a) and (b) Insurance.
A question arose as to making possible adjustments to Staff salaries but Mr. Tooracy advised
that it might prove more beneficial at this time to accept the proposed 10% increase and lay this
program over until next year. AH agreed.
Miss StandIcy made a brief report of the meeting held at Marblehead on State and Federal
Aid. Her feeling was that it might be of advantage to small towns but not for cities.
Mr. Toomey asked if all were in agreement with his idea of approaching Dr. Bierkoe of
Endicott College in presenting the Library with $250 worth of books. All agreed.
