The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, Feb. 17
at 7:30 P.M. Mr. Rowe, Chairman, presided. Present were Mrs. Cook, Mr. Birmingham, Mr. Cagan
and Mr. Zeilon. The records of Jan. 20 were read and approved. No report from the Finance
Committee could be given as the 1955 budget had not as yet been granted by the City Government.
Expenditures for Jan. were read and the amount of Trust Funds was received. $3706.86. Includes
balance and interest.
The matter of purchasing a floor polisher was brought to the attention of the Administration
Committee. It was voted to purchase same and was left for Mr. Rowe to attend to this matter.
The leaks in the upstairs hall and Art Room was then discussed. It was voted that Mr. Rowe
be permitted to spend up to $300 for temporary repairs.
The Circulation Committee recommended the purchase of 169 new titles, (71 J) The
Librarians report giving details of circulation and registration were approved and placed on file.
There was a gain in circulation of 5484 to date and 415 registrations.
