A Budget Meeting was called for Oct. 29, 1954 at 9 A.M.
The Finance Committee, Mr. Rowe, Mr. Brown and Mr. Cagan were present. Mr. Birmingham was
unable to attend.
The salary and maintenance amounts were set, to be voted on at the regular meeting in
November - Salaries and Maintenance . It was agreed that Mr. Brown
should try to meet with the Mayor and explain that this was a very moderate budget and the amounts
requested were absolutely necessary. The Committee felt that such items as a polishing macline and
special furniture could be included in Repairs and Furniture and try to keep the other outlays to three
specific items. - Pointing of Brick, Leaks in roof and Lights for stacks.
