The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, June 25,
at 4:30 P.M.
There were present of the Trustees, Miss Loring, and Messrs. Porter, Rowe, and Pond.
In the absence of Miss Stanton, Miss Jennie P. Dodge was appointed Secretary pro tem.
The records of the meeting of May 28 were read and approved.
The report of the Finance Committee summarizing expenditures for the first half of the year
was also read and approved.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 65 titles and the acceptance of
12 gifts.
Voted: that this recommendation be accepted.
The Committee on Administration made informal report that no action had yet been taken
on the matter of an iron railing for the front steps.
A motion was made to request the transfer of any surplus in the salary account to the
maintenance account after the tax levy had been announced. This motion was voted upon and approved.
The report of the Librarian was read and placed on file.
