The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Library on Thursday, May 281h
at4P.M.
There were present of the Trustees, Miss Loring, Mrs. Motley, and Messrs. Porter, Delaney,
Small and Cronin.
The records of the meeting of April 30 were read and approved.
Mr. Small then presented the monthly statement of the Finance Committee and it was voted
to approve the same.
The report of the Librarian, giving details of circulation and figures of state reading
certificates since September 1930 was read and placed on file.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 69 titles and the receipt of 13
gifts.
Voted: that this recommendation be accepted.
The Committee on Administration brought in a report on the needs of repairs at the Farms
Branch.
It was voted to change the lighting in the Farms lecture hall also to paint the same and to do
over the floor, without a linoleum carpeting, from the $500.00 allowed in the budget for that
purpose. Also to buy new front doors - this to be paid from the regular maintenance appropriation.
The matter of repairs to the Farms roof was left to the Administration Committee with power
to act.
It was voted to close the library at 8 P.M., Saturdays excepted, from June 1 until the day after
Labor Day.
