Regular meeting of the Board at Library Building.
Meeting called to order by Chairman at 3:30 P.M.
Those present were Misses Loring and Kilham, Mrs. Braden, Messrs. Driver, Webber and
Henderson.
Records read and approved.
The Circulation Committee reported the purchase of 94 titles and two gifts for the month of August.
Voted to accept above report.
The report of the Finance Committee was read.
Voted to accept above report.
The Circulation Committee in its report for September recommended the purchase of 30 titles.
Voted to accept above report.
The same Committee reported the number of books for school use to be - 329.
Voted: That Miss Woodbury be paid for her over-time work on school books the same price per hour
as for regular over-time work at Library.
Voted: That the arrangements for the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the incorporation of
Beverly as a Town be placed in the hands of the Chairmen of the Committees on Administration and
Circulation.
Voted: That the disposition of Miss Clark's legacy be referred to the Administration and Circulation
Committees - they to report at a later meeting.
The Committee on Circulation recommended that the list of Periodicals - (as read) substantially same
as last year with the addition of the Naval Eng. Magazine be continued with the F. W. Faxon Co. at
an estimated cost of $235.00.
