Beverly July 27th 1918
Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees at Library building.
Meeting called to order by the Chairman at 3:30 P.M.
Those present were Miss Loring, Mrs. Braden, Messrs. Driver, Webber and Henderson.
Records of last meeting read & approved.
The Circulation Corn: recommended the purchase of 68 titles.
Voted to accept the recommendation.
The monthly report of Finance Com: was read and approved.
The Finance and Adm. Com: to whom was referred the question of recompense to be paid the Misses
Stanton, Dodge and Woodbury for one-time work reported by recommending that the recompense
for the above named assistants should be at the rate of .50 cents per hour for over-time and that the
total time (both regular & over-time) should not exceed 54 hours in any one week. They also
recommended that the above rule if accepted should be retroactive from July 1 st 1918.
Voted - To accept above recommendations.
Voted - To grant the Janitor - Mr. Fisk the usual two weeks vacation - the date of same to be
determined by the Adm. Com:

Correction of above by addition to same as follows-
Messrs. A. C. and Percy A. Wallis - Adms. of the estate of their Father - the late Hon. Jos. A. Wallis
- presented the library with a framed engraving of the late Hon. Robert Rantoul, Jr. - stating that in
so doing they were carrying out an often expressed wish of their late father.
The gift was accepted and acknowledgment sent to the donors.
