1918-30-03 City of Beverly, Massachusetts Public Meeting Minutes Board: Library Trustees Subcommittee: Date: 03/30/1918 Place: Beverly Public Library Board members present: Charles H. Henderson, Joseph C. Kilham, Katharine P. Loring, Elizabeth P. Sohier, Louis D. Webber, Margaret Whitney, and George E. Woodberry Board members absent: William R. Driver, and Lawrence A. Ford Others present: Recorder: Louis D. Webber Mar 30th 1918 The regular meeting of the Trustees was held Sat Mar 30th @ 3:30 o'clock. In the absence of Mr. Driver, Mr. Woodberry was chosen chairman Pro Tem. There were present of the Trustees Miss Loring, Miss Whitney, Miss Sohier, Messrs. Kilham, Henderson, Woodberry & Webber. The records of the previous meeting were read and approved also that of the Finance Com. The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 43 titles and reported the receipt of 4 gifts from Miss Loring whereupon it was Voted The recommendation of the Committee with respect to 43 titles be adopted and the thanks of the Trustees be extended for the gifts. The Adm. Committee reported as to the conditions of the Library. Voted The Trustees voted to extend the use of certain rooms in the Library to the Red Cross Beverly Branch for their work pertaining to the War.
