Beverly July 20th 1895
A Special Meeting of the Trustees was held this evening.
Messrs. Tuck, Woodberry, Giddings, Driver and Dodge being present.
The meeting was called to order by the chairman.
A communication was read from Rev. D. D. Addison, who, having removed to Brookline,
thereby tendered his resignation, which was accepted.
On motion of Mr. Giddings, it was
Voted That the Secy. be directed to return the draft of ordinances to the committee expressing their
thanks for the courtesy and its statement that the trustees had no suggestions to offer.
On motion of Mr. Giddings it was
Voted That Mr. Joseph D. Tuck be authorized by this board to approved and endorse all bills on
account of the Public library before their transmission to the City Auditor.
On motion of Mr. Dodge it was
Voted That the Librarian and assistant each have one evening a week during the month of August the
vacancy to be supplied by additional help.
