The Board met this evening for organization. The President announced the selection of Mr.
J. D. Tuck as Trustee for five years. On motion of Mr. Giddings a ballot was taken for the usual
officers with the following result.
Mr. Wm. C. Boyden was elected President.
Mr. Franklin Leach was elected Secretary
Mr. J. D. Tuck was elected Treasurer
Messrs. Girlrings, Driver & Leach Corn. on Books
Messrs. Boyden, Leach & Tuck Corn. on Rooms
Miss Martha P. Smith was chosen Librarian with a salary of Two Hundred & Fifty dollars per annum.
On motion Mr. Driver the present arrangement for supplying books to the people of the Farms was
voted to be continued. Mr. Tuck was chosen a committee to carry out the above. On motion of Mr.
Giddings a draft for Six Hundred dollars was drawn on the Selectmen in favor of the Treasurer. After
some discussion in regard to the general management of the Library. No other business offering the
meeting was dissolved.
