1899-29-04 City of Beverly, Massachusetts Public Meeting Minutes Board: Library Trustees Subcommittee: Date: 04/29/1899 Place: Beverly Public Library Board members present: William R. Driver, Rev. Benjamin R. Bulkeley, Katharine P. Loring, and Elizabeth P. Sohier Board members absent: Allen H. Bennett, Charles L. Dodge, Edward L. Giddings, Joseph C. Kilham, and George E Woodberry Others present: Recorder: William R. Driver Beverly April 29th 1899 A regular meeting of the Board was held on the above date, Present Misses Loring & Sohier, Messrs. Driver and Bulkeley. The records of the meeting of February 28th and March 25th 1899 were read and approved. The list of new books submitted by the committee on circulation was approved. On motion of Miss Loring, it was Voted That the age at which a minor may exercise the right of taking books from the Library be fixed at ten years (10 yrs.) Upon request made by parent or guardian as heretofore. On motion of Miss Sohier, it was Voted That the cards for use by young readers be made of a color different from those to be used by general readers.
