1898-04-06 City of Beverly, Massachusetts Public Meeting Minutes Board: Library Trustees Subcommittee: Date: 06/04/1898 Place: Beverly Public Library Board members present: William R. Driver, Rev. Benjamin R. Bulkeley, Charles L. Dodge, and Katharine P. Loring Board members absent: Allen H. Bennett, Edward L. Giddings, Elizabeth P. Sohier, Joseph D. Tuck, and George E. Woodberry Others present: Recorder: Charles L. Dodge Beverly June 4, 1898 The regular meeting of Trustees was held upon the above date. Messrs. Driver, Bulkeley, Dodge and Miss Loring present. The meeting was called to order Mr. Driver in the chair. The records of the last meeting were read and approved. On motion of Miss Loring, it was Voted That the room committee be authorized to ascertain from the Building Cleaning Co. Boston the expense of thoroughly cleaning the library. On motion of the Secretary, it was Voted The vacancy existing in the committee on rooms and administration be filed by adding the Rev. Mr. Bulkeley. On motion of Miss Loring, it was Voted That the library be closed for two weeks from July 4th to July 17 both dates included, and that all books be returned on or before July 2d. This period to have no reference to the vacations of the librarian and assistants. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. Charles L. Dodge Secretary
