A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on Saturday the 31st day of October
1914 at 3:30 o'clock pm.
There were present of the Trustees: Miss Loring, Miss Sohier, Messrs. Driver, Bulkeley,
Webber and Baker.
The records of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 90 titles of which 50 were
present, and on motion it was
Voted:
That the recommendation of the Committee on Circulation be adopted with reference to 90
titles
On motion it was
Voted:
To add the Musical Courier to the list of magazines for the ensuing year
On motion it was
Voted:
That the subscription for newspapers for the ensuing year be made through the Beverly News
Co. The papers to be received by mail.
Miss Loring reported that, in accordance with the voted passed at the last meeting, Mrs.
Nettie M. Churchill had been employed as an assistant at the Farms Branch at a compensation of
$1.00 per week, her services to be rendered on two evenings each week.
In relation to the use of the Library Hall by the New England Civics Institute, it was reported
that no action is necessary as the matter had been dropped.
On motion it was
Voted:
That subscription be made to the Boston Herald and the Boston Transcript for the use of the
Farms Branch.
On motion it was
Voted:
That, on account of illness, Miss Ethel L. Dodge be granted leave of absence, with pay, until
Dec. 1, 1914.
On motion it was
Voted to adjourn
