Dodge, this record is made from memory and was approved by the Trustees July 25, 1914, subject to correction by Col. Dodge. L.H.B. A meeting of the Trustees of the Beverly Public Library was duly held on Saturday the 6th day of June 1914. There were present of the Trustees, Mr. Driver, Miss Sohier, Mr. Baker, Mr. Bulkeley, Mr. Doge, Mr. Kilham. The records of the last meeting having been misplaced by the Secretary, the reading was dispensed with. The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 35 (?) titles and reported the gift of 4 titles. On motion it was Voted that the report of the Committee on Circulation be adopted On motion it was Voted: That the matter of the hours of closing the Library during the summer months be referred to the Committee on Circulation for consideration and report. The Finance Committee made a report of the financial affairs of the Library to June 1, 1914. On motion it was Voted: That Miss Ethel Dodge, an Assistant Librarian be granted six week's leave of absence, with pay, for the purpose of attending the Librarian's Course at Simmons College. On motion it was Voted: That the matter of providing a substitute to serve during the absence of Miss Dodge be referred to the Committee on Circulation with power to act. [Louis H. Baker]
