1912-27-07 City of Beverly, Massachusetts Public Meeting Minutes Board: Library Trustees Subcommittee: Date: 07/27/1912 Place: Beverly Public Library Board members present: William R. Driver, Rev. Benjamin R. Bulkeley, Charles L. Dodge, Katharine P. Loring, and George E. Woodberry Board members absent: Allen H. Bennett, Joseph C. Kilham, Elizabeth P. Sohier, and Louis D. Webber Others present: Recorder: Charles L. Dodge Beverly July 27th 1912 The regular meeting of the Trustees occurred on the above date. Present Miss Loring and Messrs. Driver, Bulkeley, Woodberry and Dodge. The record of the last meeting was read and approved. Voted To accept the report of the committee on circulation with reference to 10 titles present. Petition from Misses Jennie and Ethel Dodge and Miss Stanton assistant librarians, asking for an increase of salaries was read, accepted and referred to the finance committee. (The petition will be found on page 80) Voted That the report of the committee on circulation read and accepted at the last meeting (June 29th) on page 81 in which record error was discovered be so amended in paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 to read postponed, paragraphs 6 & 7 as adopted, paragraphs 8 & 9 with the petition of the assistants page 81 were referred to the finance committee. Voted To accept with the thanks of the Board the gift of a book entitled "Notes On the McKaragus Canal Route" written and presented by Henry I. Sheldon, 54 West Randolph St., Chicago. Voted To accept with thanks the 3 pamphlets entitled "The Yorkshire Percies." By Lockwood Huntley, Borough librarian, Beverley, England. Adjourned Charles L. Dodge Secretary
